Notice of 2026 Tigers Netball Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Dear Tigers members and community,

On behalf of the Tigers Netball Club Committee, I’m pleased to invite you to the Club’s 2026 AGM.

The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on the season, hear about the Club’s progress against the Tigers Strategic Plan, and elect the committee that will guide the Club in the year ahead. We encourage our players, families, volunteers and supporters to attend.

Business of the meeting

1. Welcome and acknowledgement of Country
2. Apologies and confirmation of quorum
3. Confirmation of the minutes of the previous AGM
4. President’s report, including an update on the Tigers Strategic Plan
5. Treasurer’s report and presentation of the annual financial statements
6. Election of committee members
7. Any other business submitted in accordance with the Club’s rules
8. Close of meeting

Committee nominations

Members interested in joining the committee are encouraged to nominate for a position. Please submit nominations to tigerscommittee@gmail.com by Wednesday 11 November. Please include the nominee’s name, the position sought, and confirmation that the nominee accepts the nomination.

Committee - Expressions of Interest for 2026

The committee is also seeking expressions of interest to join the club committee. Without the contributions of those within our club, the Tigers Netball Club simply cannot operate. The club is 100% run by volunteers, and every training session, game, uniform order, registration, and team placement happens because someone has given their time to make it possible.

We know how much our players love being out on the court each week, and we want to ensure they can continue to play the sport they love. But the reality is, without more parents and members stepping forward to help on the committee, the club cannot keep running smoothly. Without a committee, there is no club.

Volunteering on the committee doesn’t just benefit your own child, it supports every player in the Tigers family and helps keep our community strong. Many hands make light work, and your skills, energy, and ideas can make a real difference. Whether you have experience in administration, coaching, fundraising, or simply a willingness to help, we would love to hear from you.

By joining the committee, you’re not only ensuring that your daughter and her teammates can keep playing netball, you’re also shaping the future of the club for years to come. Please consider stepping up; your involvement is vital.

AGM and Club Presentation Afternoon - Sunday 5th October 2025

Our new Director of Coaching - Fiona Lamb

Fiona Lamb will be taking on this role next year. Fiona has over 20 years experience in the teaching sector across various educational situations. Fiona is very familiar with netball as she has played it since she was 9 years old and has coached netball on and off since she was 15 years old. She is a qualified swim teacher and primary school teacher and is currently completing her netball development coaching course. 

Fiona took her U15 netball team to the Grand Final this year and they came out premiers. I saw the work first hand in what Fiona can do with a team. She is super excited about developing every one of our players next year. She is also the conduit between the President and the Parents that we need. It will be great for the Coaches to have a more structured environment and have a mentor guide them all year. Fiona will attend weekly training sessions and games in rotation between the teams. She will also be involved in team selection alongside Inspire Netball Academy when we run the clinics next year.

Tigers Presentation Day

The Club Presentation day was held on Sunday the 10th of September at the Beaumaris Bowls Club. We had a great turnout and a special guest appearance from Kelsey Browne, formerly from the Magpies who presented players with their awards.

A special mention to Issy Johnston (U/13), Sophia Gatti (U/18), and Eva Tomov (Open) who took out the SDNA Best on Court in the Grand Final.

Another special mention to Zoe Perry (U/13), and Sophia Gatti (U/18) who were awarded SDNA’s Best and Fairest in their divisions.

Our U18 Tigers, U15 Bengals, and U13 Gold, all had exceptional ends to the season, taking out the Grand Finals for their divisions!

Call out for new U11 players

This is a call out for any players interested in joining our Under 11 Saturday team.

Players from 9-11 years old are eligible to play. Games will be on a Saturday morning likely around 8.15am and training will be on a Friday from 4.45pm - 5.30pm.
